Training and Certifications that are in Demand

Get training on the most popular three CompTIA certifications—A+, Network+, Security+.  These three courses offer entry-level training and experience in Helpdesk, Networking, and Cyber Security. 

The Cisco CCNA course covers both ICND1 and ICND1.  In ICND y ou will learn networking basics and fundamentals.  In ICND2 you will gain hand-on experience programming Cisco switches and routers. 

In this course you will gain advanced knowledge of Cybersecurity principles.  We will cover two courses—Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). 

 

Gain a working knowledge of cloud technologies.    In this course we follow the CompTIA Cloud Essentials course as well as Azure Fundamentals.

Deploy, configure, and manage Windows 10.  In this course we will cover two official Microsoft courses: 20698 Installing and Configuring Windows 10.  20697-1 Implementing and Managing Windows 10. 

 

Design and deliver server solutions with Windows Server 2016.  In this course we will cover the three Windows 2016 MCSA Server courses—20740, 20741, 20742. 

 

Module 1: CompTIA Top 3 Certifications

  • Program Duration: 8 Weeks
  • Certifications Covered: A+, Network+, Security+
  • Difficulty Level: Beginner to Intermediate
  • Special Features: Build a computer that you take home

In this module you will gain knowledge and entry-level experience in three separate career pathways: Helpdesk, Networking, and Cybersecurity.  You will spend around three weeks on each subject.

  • A+ Certification.  In the A+ course you will learn how to support, maintain, and troubleshoot the hardware and software.  The course covers desktops, laptops, mobile phones, and printers. 
  • Network+ Certification.  Learn the principles and building blocks for networking infrastructure. 
  • Security+.  In this course students will implement, monitor, and troubleshoot infrastructure, application, information, and operation security.

Module 2: Cisco CCNA Networking

  • Program Duration: 8 Weeks
  • Certifications Covered: Cisco CCNA
  • Difficulty Level: Beginner to Intermediate
  • Special Features: Exam Preparation Guide

In this module you will gain hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches.  You will also learn networking fundamentals and how they can be used in the Cisco environment to build, support, and troubleshoot networks.

Module 3: Cybersecurity

  • Program Duration: 10 Weeks
  • Certifications Covered: CISSP, CEH
  • Difficulty Level: Intermediate to Advanced
  • Special Features: CEH is 50% Hands On

In this module you will gain knowledge and hands-on training as a Cybersecurity analyst.

  • Security+.  In this course students will implement, monitor, and troubleshoot infrastructure, application, information, and operation security.
  • Certification Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).  In this course students will get the most comprehensive review of information security concepts and industry best practices. This is an intensive course designed to give students the knowledge required to pass the CISSP certification exam if they choose to pursue it.
  •  Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).  In this course will immerse you into the hacker mindset so that you can learn what attack-vectors hackers commonly use, how those vectors are exploited, and most importantly how they think. This course will have several hands-on-labs allowing you to put concepts to the test.

Module 4: Cloud Computing

  • Program Duration: 8 Weeks
  • Certifications Covered: Cisco CCNA
  • Difficulty Level: Beginner to Intermediate
  • Special Features: Exam Preparation Guide
In this course students will gain knowledge and hands-on experience with different cloud computing technologies.
  • CompTIA Cloud Essentials.  This course will cover the main cloud computing principles and concepts. Students will learn the benefits and risk of Cloud computing.  More importantly, students will learn the steps to having a successful cloud strategy.
  •  10979 Intro to Azure Fundamentals. This course provides the underlying knowledge required by all individuals who will be evaluating Microsoft Azure, whether they are administrators, developers, or database administrators.

Module 5: Microsoft Windows 10 Desktop MCSA

  • Program Duration: 8 Weeks
  • Courses Covered: MOC 20698, MOC 20697-1
  • Difficulty Level: Intermediate to Advanced
  • Special Features: This course is 50% hands on labs

In this module students will gain hands-on experience deploying and managing Windows 10 desktops.  The two courses taken together prepare students to take the two Windows 10 MCSA certification exams.  

  • 20698 Installing and Configuring Windows 10This course provides IT professionals with the knowledge and skills required to install and configure Windows 10 desktops in a Windows Server small to medium-sized AD DS domain environment.
  • 20697-1 Implementing and Managing Windows 10This course provides IT professionals with the knowledge and skills required to install and configure Windows 10 desktops in a Windows Server small to medium-sized AD DS domain environment.

Module 6: Microsoft Server 2016 MCSA

  • Program Duration: 8 Weeks
  • Courses Covered: Microsoft 20740, 20741, 20742
  • Difficulty Level: Beginner to Intermediate
  • Special Features: Exam Preparation Guide
In these courses students will gain hands-on experience  deploying server solutions using Windows Server 2016. 

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Certification Vouchers Included?

Yes, one certificaton voucher for each 2-month training module is included.  The vouchers are good for one year.  The Security+ and CEH exams may be taken at our Pearson Vue testing center.  The CISSP exam must be taken at a separate CISSP testing enter.

Can the Courses be Taken Remotely or Online?

All courses must be taken at our training center in Boise, Idaho.  Many out-of-state Veterans move to Idaho during the training program.  There are affordable housing solutions close to our training center.  We are working on VA approval to offer our great IT Certification Training Remotely.  If you would like to be notified once we are approved to offer our training program remotely using the GI Bill, send us an email

Do you offer Job Placement Assistance?

Yes, LeapFox offers both internship and job placement assistance.  Many of our students receive job offers before completing their training program.    

Will the GI Bill Pay for 100% of the Tuition?

If you have 100% GI Bill eligibility, the VA will pay for everything–books, labs, training, and exam vouchers.  Our 3-month accelerated Cyber Analyst program will use 6 months of your GI Bill.  

Will I get Paid to Attend School?

Yes.  Our school is considered full time (18 hours/week) so while you are attending Leapfox, the GI Bill will pay you $1150/mo ($1050 for BHA and $100 for books).  You will receive your payment via EFT the first week of each month.   

The Registration Process

Certificate of Eligibility

Visit www.ebenefits.gov and obtain an updated copy of your certificate of eligibility. Verify you have enough benefits to complete the desired program. You will need two months of benefits for each month of training at LeapFox. If you haven't applied yet for your GI Bill benefits, you can do so here as well.
