Computer training is one of our main focuses at LeapFox Learning, and last year was an excellent year for it. Here is a list of our most popular Application courses from 2017, as chosen by our students. If you’re looking for our most popular IT courses that list can be found here

QuickBooks Training

Microsoft Excel Courses

 Excel is a regular on this list and with good reason. It is one of, if not the most used software for nearly all businesses. If there is a need for spreadsheets, then you’re likely to find Excel in use. It is hands down the best spreadsheet software available. We offer courses on all of the recent versions excel all broken up into 3 distinct levels (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) as well as high level, multi-day courses. These courses cover the specifics of topics like data analysis, pivot tables, and power pivot.

    • Those looking to gain fundamental or advanced skills using Microsoft Excel.
    • Those looking to certify in Microsoft Excel

SQL Courses

Much like Excel SQL is starting to become a standard need in a lot of offices, specifically the ability to efficiently query a SQL database. At LeapFox we offer training specifically geared towards end users so that they can learn the ins and outs of querying. We have three separate courses aimed at beginners, intermediate users, and advanced users. In these courses students learn how to connect to the SQL Server database and execute queries there. They will also learn how to organize the data obtained, retrieve data from tables, and more.

Leadership Development

As more businesses are realizing that leaders aren’t born but made we are seeing an influx of young managers, and newly promoted individuals in our custom leadership classes. Our Leadership Development course covers topics ranging from coaching and teambuilding to managing unwanted employee behavior.

Microsoft Access Classes

Microsoft Access Courses

In this course students will learn how to use Access to manage data, including how to create a new database, construct tables, design forms, and reports, and more. At LeapFox we offer three different levels of Access as well as an advanced course that focuses on using VBA programming with Access for added functionality.

    • Individuals who wish to establish a fundamental or advanced understanding of Access

Adobe Photoshop Courses

As someone who loves design, and plays around in Photoshop occasionally I am happy to say that the number of students we had attending adobe courses soared this year, and especially in Photoshop. We recently restructured our two Photoshop courses so that now each course is longer. Attendees have definitely appreciated the extra time allowing them to get a grip on the basics and then spend hands-on time committing the knowledge to memory.

    • Professional or amateur photographers who want to use the advanced features of Photoshop
    • Those interested in working toward Adobe certifications

Microsoft OneNote Classes

Microsoft OneNote

I think its safe to say that this is the year that OneNote finally caught on, at least that seems to be the case. We have had a large number of students attending the OneNote class in the past year. Many students came in wondering just what it was, and left wondering how they got along without it. OneNote is a note taking application from Microsoft that lives in the cloud allowing access to your notes from anywhere at any time. It holds a special place for me because it was the first course I ever took at LeapFox and still make use of it nearly every day. I am happy to see it catching on with a large portion of our clients!

    •  Anyone with a need to take notes, or record documents for reference.
    • Really just about anyone could benefit from some training on this free application
Microsoft Project Classes

Microsoft Project 2016

This course is designed to get students familiar with basic features and functions of Microsoft Project Professional 2016. Project is a management software that can help project leaders assign tasks, track progress, manage budgets, analyze workloads, and more. This course is the beginner level of three seperate courses that we offer.

    • Users with an understanding of project management concepts
    • Project managers

Project Management

Project management requires effective planning to a best practices plan in every step of the process. At LeapFox we offer several courses covering project management starting with the basics. This 1-day course will help students understand and apply the generally recognized practices to successfully manage projects. Students will also identify successful project management practices and their related processes.

  • Who should attend this course?
    • Those considering a career path in project management and desiring a complete overview of accepted practices
    • Those whose primary job is not necessarily project management, but who manage projects on an informational basis
Microsoft Outlook Training

Microsoft Outlook

Outlook is a great email and scheduling tool, that most businesses run on. In this 1 day course we teach students how to send, receive, and manage email messages, manage contact information, schedule appointments and meetings, and more. We also go over Outlooks ability to integrate with Skype for Business.

    • Those who need to use Outlook as an email client

Future Course: Coffee’s for Closers

And for our last entry I wanted to put a course that I expect to see do really well in 2018. We have just added a sales training to our course catalog and the first course is coming up next month. This class will be running monthly, and we are really excited for it at LeapFox.
